He retired in 2002. After retiring from HM Diplomatic Service, Sir David Wright joined Barclays Capital, the investment banking arm of the Barclays group, as Vice Chairman where he is respon-sible for banking client relations in Asia-Pacific and Barclays links with UK government and other public entities. He is also Vice-President of the China-Britain Business Council, a member of the International Advisory Board of All Nippon Airways, and a Governor of the Royal Shakespeare Company. He is the current Chair at the Korean British Business Council.<\/p>\n

Gregory Hodkinson has spent most of his professional career at Arup and is a passionate believer in Arup\u2019s mission to \u2018shape a better world\u2019. His professional experience is primarily in the planning, design and project management of transport infrastructure, which he has undertaken throughout the world.\u00a0 He has more than 40 years\u2019 experience in large-scale projects, including the Sony Centre in Berlin; Darling Harbour Development in Sydney; Terminals 2,3,4,5 and 7 at JFK Airport, as well as the Fulton Centre and Second Avenue Subway in New York.<\/p>\n

Gregory joined Arup in 1972, having been inspired by the firm\u2019s work on the Sydney Opera House. He led the firm\u2019s expansion in the USA from 1988 as a founding Principal of the New York office. He became Chairman of the Americas Region in 2004 and in 2011 moved to Milan to lead the firm\u2019s European business. He was appointed Chairman of Arup Group in 2014.<\/p>\n

In addition to his work with Arup, Gregory is a member of the International Advisory Board of British American Business, the Advisory Board of the China\u2013Britain Business Council, the Infrastructure & Urban Development Industries Governors Steering Committee, and Chairman of the Future of Urban Development & Services Steering Committee at the World Economic Forum. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Gregory is a former Trustee of WaterAid, an international charity dedicated to bringing safe drinking water and sanitation to the world\u2019s poorest people and a former Adjunct Professor at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University.<\/p>\n

Former British Ambassador to China<\/strong>

Ehrman joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Diplomatic Service in 1973, and has had postings in Beijing, New York, Hong Kong and was British Ambassador to Lux-embourg from 1998\u20132000. Ehrman was the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s director general for defence and intelligence between 2002 and 2004, before becoming British Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China from 2006 to 2010. Ehrman gave evidence to The Iraq Inquiry in No-vember 2009. Ehrman was educated at Eton College, a boarding independent school for boys in Eton in Berkshire, followed by Trinity College at the University of Cambridge, from which he graduated with a first class degree in Mandarin Chinese.<\/p>\n

Gordon Luo joined Huawei UK and Ireland in October 2013 and took up the role of Chief Executive Officer in February 2014.<\/p>\n

Prior to moving to the UK, Gordon was CEO of Huawei Nordic Region from 2011, based in Stockholm. As CEO of Huawei Nordic Region, Gordon was responsible for leading Huawei\u2019s businesses and operations in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. During his two years in the role, he led a team that delivered strong growth in carrier infrastructure, as well as growing the business into new areas such as service, enterprise and consumer devices.<\/p>\n

Gordon joined Huawei in 2005 and has extensive experience in sales business development and key account management. Gordon\u2019s first role at Huawei was with the Huawei Vodafone Business Unit in Madrid, working as the key account manager to develop the UMTS project for Vodafone Spain. From 2007 Gordon was the General Manager of the Vodafone Spain Account and in 2009, he took up the role as the Global Key Account Director of the Huawei Vodafone Business Unit.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining Huawei, Gordon worked for Siemens Mobile in China as key account sales for the domestic telecom market.<\/p>\n
